Most tools sell a quota per feature: so many links, so many codes, so many posts. Posty5 works differently. Your plan grants one monthly pool of credits, and every metered action in every tool draws from that same pool. Shortening a link, generating a QR code, publishing a post and receiving a store order all reduce the same number. That is the fact worth understanding before choosing a plan, because it means the right plan depends on your mix of work rather than on any single feature's limit.
One budget, every tool
A credit is the platform's unit of cost. Each metered action carries a price in credits, defined per plan, and running the action subtracts that price from your balance. Because the pool is shared, capacity is never stranded inside a feature you do not use: a month spent entirely on store orders and a month spent entirely on short links both draw on the same grant. See the URL Shortener guide for one priced action in detail.
How many credits each plan grants
Four plans, each with its own monthly grant. All prices are in US dollars. Compare the plans.
Priced, switched off, or free
Not every difference between plans is a price. On each plan an action is one of three things: it costs a number of credits, it is included at no credit cost, or it is not available on that plan at all. The third case is the one that catches people out. A custom landing-page ID, Google Sheets sync, page-builder image upload and custom slugs, store staff accounts, image posts and auto-comments after publishing are not merely expensive on the lower tiers — they are switched off. No amount of credits unlocks them; only a plan that includes them does. Check availability before you budget.
Individual action prices live on the pricing page and can be retuned by an administrator, so treat any figure copied elsewhere as a snapshot. That is enough to show the scale; it is not a substitute for the live list. Compare the plans.
What carries over and what resets
Some work never touches the balance. The URL Shortener, QR Code Generator, WhatsApp Link Generator, Crop Photo and SEO Tags Extractor all run without an account, and an action taken while signed out is never credit-checked or charged. Signed in, SEO extraction and image cropping stay free on every plan, as do store settings, design, publishing, product updates and staff-invite emails. Saving a QR code, HTML Hosting, the Page Builder, the Social Media Publisher and the Online Store Builder all require an account.
On a paid plan, credits left at the end of a billing period carry into the next one on top of the new grant. On the Free plan they do not — the bucket resets each period. This is the practical reason a paid plan absorbs an uneven month better than its headline number suggests: a quiet month funds a busy one. No plan publishes a permanent retention guarantee, so treat carried credits as a cushion rather than as savings. See what the Free plan includes.
When an action runs without a balance
Three store actions are allowed to run with an empty balance: an order received, an order status change, and a manually created order. Rather than failing, they record what they cost as credit debt, because refusing an incoming customer order would be worse than billing for it a little later. Debt is settled automatically the next time credits arrive, oldest charge first. Until it is settled it is not spendable: your usable balance is what remains after the debt is subtracted, which is why a balance that reads above zero can still refuse an action. Customer emails behave differently — with no balance the email is skipped rather than deferred. Read the guide to the two refusal messages.
Where to watch the balance
The account's subscription area shows the current balance, any outstanding debt, the reset date and a per-action breakdown of where the period's credits went. Every charge writes a row to a personal usage ledger you can filter, and charging is deduplicated, so a retried request cannot bill twice for the same operation.
See what each plan includes
Plans differ in two ways at once: how many credits they grant, and which features they switch on. Compare both before deciding.
Frequently asked questions
Do Posty5 credits expire?
On a paid plan, credits left at the end of a period carry into the next one on top of that period's grant. On the Free plan the bucket resets. No permanent retention guarantee is published, so treat carried credits as a cushion rather than savings.
Is one credit worth a fixed amount of money?
No. A credit is a unit of cost, not a currency bought at a fixed rate. Both the plan price and the monthly grant are published, and the ratio between them differs from plan to plan.
Why was I refused when my balance was not zero?
Either the action is not available on your plan at all, or outstanding debt is being subtracted from your balance. The two refusals use different wording, and telling them apart decides what to do next.
Do I need an account to use the free tools?
No. The URL Shortener, QR Code Generator, WhatsApp Link Generator, Crop Photo and SEO Tags Extractor work signed out, and anonymous use is never credit-checked. Saving a QR code, and every other tool, needs an account.
Can the price of an action change?
Yes. The runtime price list can be retuned by an administrator and takes effect on the next charge. Check the pricing page rather than a number copied from an article.
What happens at renewal?
The new grant arrives, unused credits carry over on a paid plan, and any outstanding debt is settled from the fresh balance, oldest charge first.
